Today's manicure is inspired by the not so friendly mounds of snow outside my door. Now, I've always used to like snow. Until I had to shovel through miles of it in order to go anywhere.
But, regardless of that, if anything snow is still beautiful and I still adore it.

Hanging Glequins Ornaments
Merry Christmas Eve Eve!! Since this holiday spirits are inching closer and closer, it should come as no surprise that my designs lately are more Christmasey based. After all, when else can I use and abuse of the red, green and silver?!

Cirque du Soleil Inspired Look - Part 2: Nails!!
Just a quick note before I get ahead with today's post, I just wanted to tell you guys about Algae Veronica's AWESOME end of year giveaway that I've entered. You can find out a lot more about it by clicking here. I'm really excited about it!!
If you haven't heard about her yet, I really recommend you check some of her nail designs out, they're the coolest things ever, and I'm incredibly jealous of her talent!!
But now, post! So after promising this for a while, I've finally gotten around to the Cirque du Soleil inspired nail art that I've been talking about. As you know from my previous post, I went to see Amaluna a couple of days ago, and along with the rainbow makeup I just HAD to create an appropriate nail design too!!

Cirque du Soleil Inspired Look - Part 1: Eyeshadow!!
Hey guys!
So I know it's been a while, but classes are officially over and I'm officially on Holidays!! ...Which of course, implies that I'm mostly free, yet still have to deal with some work-related e-mails at times.
But the good news is that I'm home for Christmas, and I actually have nothing to do but see friends, get fat, and come up with creative ways to update this blog. On that note, here's something I haven't done before, and while I intend this blog to be mainly about nails, every once in a while if I do something I'm proud of, I'll add it here.
I don't recall if I mentioned it or not, but I went to see Amaluna, the Cirque performance, and I decided to get creative with my nails and my makeup! I'll post the nails in a next post, I'm very excited about them, so I'll hold off just a tiiiiiiny bit longer.

Deck the Halls with Glequins and Rhinestones!!
Hey!!
So I've finally reached the point in my holidays where I have enough time to just do nothing but play nails all day, so that's what I've been doing!!
This manicure was inspired by one I did on my friend Jenn at Girl's Night.
The polishes used were China Glaze Running in Circles from the Cirque do Soleil collection, mixed with Winter Holly from the Holiday 2012 collection.

The Hobbit!!
What's this, 2 posts in one day?? Is Lili making up for the fact that she's failed to update this thing?? Why yes indeed!! And also because today I haven't left my house and it's been glorious because I got to catch up on things.
But tonight I'm going to see THE HOBBIT PREMIER!! And I couldn't be more excited about it!!!
In honour of that, I just had to make my nails inspired by it.

Random Girl's Night!
So the Holidays are good for 2 things: Making you poor. And making you suddenly have time for a social life. Which means that Lili has less time for her nails. Which defeats the whole purpose of what I would do with my free time.
That being said, I'm working on one right now, hopefully it will be up by tonight/tomorrow.
Until then, here are some random pics of what happens at Girl's Night!! All the designs are done by yours truly. I'm quite happy with how some came out and might do them to my own nails.
Taylor wanted Galaxy Nails! So that's what I gave her, I can't remember which polishes were used, since some of them weren't mine, but I think it was Sally Hansen, OPI and American Apparel.

Black Velvet Manicure
Right, so I've been pretty bad about updating this, and I'm really sorry about that. I've had a 18 paper due and as you can imagine that is a not a pretty thing to do. But now that's done!
And at the best time as well, I just got a new package from Born Pretty Store!!
Over the next days I'll probably be posting some stuff from there, onto tonight's post: Velvet Nails!!

Holy Grail (Old Edition) - A England Polishes
Hey guys!
I know it's been a while since I've had a chance to post here, believe it or not - I hardly do - but classes are finally over!! Now I only have one more paper that's due Wednesday and then FREEDOM!! God, I can't believe a whole semester is done.
And you know what the best part is?! I have all the free time to dedicate to nails now!!
Today's post is very simple, but I recently got my second A-England polish, I had previously bought Saint George and fallen in love with it, so when I say Lucy's Stash review about the two shades of Holy Grail (New & Limited Edition) I just knew I had to get my hand on it!!

Candy Cane Stripes + Mistletoe!!
Hey guys, so I know it's been a while since I've last posted, truth is, real life has been really insane lately. It's finals time so I have a billion things to do - which is why playing nails sometimes gets left behind.
BUT! Luckily, tonight I had some spare time, which is good, because I couldn't get this idea out of my head. I had painted my nails red for the day, really simple, and all through the day as I was snacking on Mini Candy Canes, this nifty art design happend.

Water Marbling - Green Edition!!!
So you guys might remember my previous post where I swatched some Beauty UK polishes I got from a friend of mine. Well, this darling friend of mine happens to live in Northern Ireland which so happens to coincide with an obsession of mine...SHAMROCKS!!
Yes, it's true, I am a self-proclaimed "Lil Leprechaun" and have thus gained my status by having my darling Kazzie also proclaim such feat. When a real Irish gal tells ya, it's 'cause it's true!
Behold, the green of the Irish - water marbling style!

Beauty UK - Swatches Post
So, like I mentioned a couple of posts ago, I got a Nail Mail from one of my good friends, and - she knows me SO WELL - of course there was nail-polish in there!! So, this brand is called Beauty UK, I've personally never heard of them before, but they seem to have some really awesome stuff!
My friend, again, knowing me oh-so-well, sent me 3 beautiful shades of green; Green #47, Sage Green #62 and Jade #76. So I've got some swatches for you guys!

Saint George - A England Polishes
So I've recently decided that it was more than enough time for me to lose my A England Polish virginity. I've been fawning over their colours for a while now and decided that I just had to have them. You can buy them on-line from their website (linked above) or from any other on-line distributor as well, they're quite common.
I asked my friend Phyllis over at Beauty Base Zero which colour I just had to have, since I couldn't seem to make up my mind by myself. This was the most I've spent on one single bottle of polish yet, so I had to make sure it was worth every penny - and was it!
Knowing my love for the green shades, she recommended Saint George.
And oh my. It was love at first sight!!

China Glaze - Cirque Du Soleil Worlds Away 3D
Hey Guys!!
So I may be a little late to the party, but I've just recently found out that China Glaze is planning on launching a Cirque du Soleil collection at the end of the month and I CAN'T WAIT!!! I'm originally from Montreal and have grown up watching their shows almost every month! And this month too, here in Vancouver Aqualuna is coming and I already have my tickets ready. I love them!!
The colours look like they're going to be the most amazing thing ever and I've already decided that I want all of the colours!! ...Sadly of course, I don't think my wallet will highly enjoy that, so according to these swatches I've narrowed it down to the 5 I think I'll end up buying;
I'm especially looking forward to Get Carried Away, it looks like it's going to a really awesome shade! Like one of my friends said "Looks a little like galaxy nails but without the effort!".
Have you decided which colours you'll need to buy once they come out??
NOTE: Check out my China Glaze - Cirque du Soleil "World's Away 3D" Swatch Post!!

Inverted French Nail!!
So, I know I was supposed to stick to the whole Hallowe'en thing, but that's really hard when one just got a bunch on new nail mail and I just had to play around with some of the colours! So, this is how this nail art came to be. I'll be honest, I still don't know if I like it or not.

China Glaze/Zoya Swatches
Okay, so I know it's been way too long since I said I was going to come here and do some swatches on the Nail Mail I got last week. Let's just say that the Hallowe'en weekend got a little ahead of me, haha. But anyways, long story short, I'm here and I've got swatches!!
So I haven't yet developed the whole swatching colours on my nails yet, mostly because I don't have the patience for cleaning it up, but what I do have are Swatchicles for you! =]

Hallowe'en Nails!!
Since it's Hallowe'en season, most of my nails until the 31st are going to be orange-black themed.
But lets admit it, Hallowe'en never gets tiring!!
This was inspired by a post I saw on Neverland Nail Blog. I thought the idea of geometric shapes was so simple, but so awesome. And really, I don't need excuses to use Rhinestones.

All the Nails!!
A couple of my nail-designs from over the years. The first 6 were taken on photobooth and the ones after that with my cell-phone camera. The good news is that I now have access to a decent camera so things will be looking a bit more "professional".
But I'm still proud of these designs, so I figured they deserved their own post.
Click on them for bigger.
